Two men have been arrested following a street robbery in Swindon town centre.
Police officers were called to the serious incident at the Regent Circus complex at around 2.45am yesterday morning (Friday, 28 October).
A man, aged in his 40s, was robbed of his wallet after being struck over the head – but luckily avoided any notable injury.
The two suspects involved were arrested by officers near the scene and taken into custody for questioning.
A 49-year-old man and a 43-year-old man were both arrested on suspicion of robbery. The latter was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of theft from a supermarket.
