A woman who died after she was found unresponsive in the street has been named.

Natalie Brown was rushed to hospital after she was found in Celsus Grove in Okus, Swindon, in the early hours of Thursday morning (14 December).

Tragically, the 24-year-old had sustained significant injuries and died the following day.

Detectives launched an investigation into the incident and determined that there were no suspicious circumstances.

“It’s with a heavy heart that our dearest Natalie Brown, who much loved as a daughter, sister, best friend and partner has gained her angel wings too soon”, her family said in a tribute.

“As many people close to her would know she loved her dad very deeply and has never really gotten over his passing early last year. Truly heartbreaking, just no words, is a shock to us all.

“Unfortunately, we’ve had to announce the tragic passing of our beloved Natalie, a cherished soul who brought warmth, laughter, love and positive energy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

“Sadly, Natalie departed this world on: December 15, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and kindness.”

Her family told of how she was born in South Africa in September 1999 before moving to the UK. They said she “always wanted to be a singer” and wanted to “pursue a teaching career”.

They continued: “Natalie’s impact in life was known for her generosity; she always wanted to help other people in life, was also very caring by thinking greatly to those around her.

“Natalie was a beacon of light, inspiring others to embrace the spirit of giving, she was very spiritual and loved astrology in terms of star signs & palm reading.”

Her family have launched a GoFundMe to help pay for Natalie’s burial funeral and memorial service. At the time of writing, £1,565 has been donated.
