A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was found critically injured in the street.
Emergency services were called to Celsus Grove, Swindon, at around 3am this morning (Thursday).
The casualty, a woman aged in her 20s, sustained life-threatening injuries.
Police cordoned off part of Pasteur Drive and a car park behind Tustan house, a four-storey block of flats.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the serious incident, and are “keeping an open mind”.
A local resident told Wiltshire 999s that they heard shouting late on Wednesday night (13 December) – however, it’s unclear if it was linked.
Wiltshire Police said officers lifted the crime scene at around 9.30am.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the force by calling 101 and quoting log number 14 of today (14 December).
The incident is not linked to the ongoing search for Danielle Geraghty, who disappeared in the early hours of yesterday morning.
