A Swindon prosecutor has been charged with numerous offences and remanded in prison.
Tony Nowogrodzki appeared before Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning (20 March).
The 57-year-old faces allegations of non-fatal intentional strangulation and assault by beating.
The defendant worked as a defence solicitor in Wiltshire for more than 30 years before joining the Crown Prosecution Service as a senior crown prosecutor in 2023.
Nowogrodzki, of Lawn, Swindon, did not enter any pleas and the case was sent to Bristol Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing in April.
He was remanded into custody.
