Three people riding bicycles have attacked a teenager and stolen his bag in Swindon.
The street robbery took place on Friday 11 August, at around 7pm.
It happened on a footpath which runs alongside Barlow Close. Three unknown offenders approached a male teenager, punched him in the face and stole his bag which contained a mobile phone, cash and a bank card.
The suspects are described as three males on bicycles with their faces covered.
Investigating officer PC Chris Hughes said: “We are looking for information from anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in this area at this time.
“The assault took place in an open area near to many houses; these offenders, with face coverings on, would look very out of place and therefore it is certainly possible that they have been seen by someone either committing this offence or leaving the area shortly after.
“This was a very frightening incident for the victim and came out of nowhere.
“Fortunately, he was not seriously hurt but did receive minor injuries to his face.”
