A main road through Swindon is partially blocked following a ‘police chase’.

Several police vehicles were spotted at the scene on Thamesdown Drive at midday today (29 April).

It appears a blue Audi has left the road – near the Purton Road junction – and come to rest partially in a bush and partially on the pavement.

A local resident reported seeing police vehicles ‘chasing’ a blue car in nearby Akers Way a short time before the crash was reported to have happened.

It’s not yet clear whether anybody’s been injured, or if any arrests were made.

Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
