A teenage girl has been struck by a car while walking to school in Trowbridge.
Wiltshire Police said the youngster was hit by the vehicle when she attempted to cross County Way shortly after 8.10am this morning (Monday).
The child, aged 14, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Now, the force is appealing for witnesses. In a statement, a spokesperson said:
“We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on County Way, Trowbridge, which took place at around 8.12am this morning (07/10).
“A 14-year-old girl was hit by a car while crossing the road on her way to school.
“She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“If you saw what happened or have dash cam footage of the incident, please contact us on 101 quoting log number 49 of today’s date (07/10).”
