A teenager was forced to hand over the phone by a man who ‘pushed a sharp object into her back’.

The incident happened at Swindon bus station, of Manchester Road, at around 5.45pm on 30 July.

The girl was waiting for a bus when she was approached by a man she did not know, before holding an unknown sharp object up against her back.

He proceeded to demand that she handed over her mobile phone. She complied with the demand, and he then used the device to add his social media accounts.

He continued asking the teenager questions about her personal life, leaving her feeling distressed.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Enquiries are currently ongoing, however, we believe there were a number of people queuing for buses at the time who may have witnessed the incident.
