Two teenage dog sitters ‘abused and violated my home’, a Swindon woman claims.

The homeowner enlisted the services of R+L Pet Care, also known as Paws in Paradise, to look after her dog Ollie while she was away on holiday for ten days in July.

It’s alleged the business owners – two 17-year-old girls – behaved inappropriately during their stay, engaging in sexual activity in her bed and using her hot tub without permission.

The woman claimed that the duo used her home like ‘a doss house’, kept neighbours awake at night, and left her dog urinating inside due to a lack of proper care.

She has vowed to take legal action against the girls and wishes to recover £300. However, a parent responding on behalf of the business denied most of the allegations made.

They said: ‘There was communication through Messenger which clearly states that we were to sleep in her bed, which [she] is now denying and creating allegations of sexual activity after finding out the girls’ sexuality.

‘The next allegation is of breaking the bed, to which the girls had already reported and taken pictures of on the first day of the stay, so again this allegation is incorrect.

‘Use of the hot tub was never discussed or denied, but they did forget to wash the filter.

‘The dog was cared for and walked as many times as possible due to weather and insurance conditions. The girls were told the dog wouldn’t walk in the rain or on wet surfaces and that they are unable to walk any dogs in temperatures over 23 degrees.

‘Allegations of trashing the house are completely untrue and we have photo evidence that the house was left clean and tidy. We may have left chips in the microwave, but there was a third party entering the house daily to take care of the cat.’

The parent also addressed concerns about underage drinking, adding: ‘There was a bottle of AU left in the fridge. This was given to them at a family party and was empty – the girls were going to make a light ornament.

‘No alcohol was drunk. There is no recycling or proof that any alcohol was consumed.’

Responding to a claim of dog neglect based on a video, they said: ‘There is apparently a video of us calling the dog as it was urinating on the carpet. We’re not sure many people wouldn’t call the dog’s name to alert it and direct it into the garden.’

They further alleged that they have been subject to ‘harassment and bullying’ on social media as a result of the claims – and say they’ve reported the woman to the police.
