Now, Sheldon School in Hardenhuish Lane have sent teachers beyond the gates wearing high-visibility vests in the hope that their presence deters further incidents.
“We wanted to say a huge thank you to our staff for supporting the Sheldon community by extending their presence beyond the school gates to make sure that all children in the area get home safely”, a spokesperson said.
“You may have notice an increase in high-vis vests along main routes into school – including a patrol of the Donkey Fields by our school dog, Lockie!
“We’d also like to thank our students for showing excellent behaviour as they arrive and leave the school. Everyone has shown the best of their Sheldon spirit over the last few days!”
