UPDATE: Court bails former Swindon teacher over alleged child sex offences
A Swindon teacher has been charged with a string of offences against young boys.
39-year-old Chris Fox faces ten allegations relating to the sexual abuse of children between the ages of 12 and 15 over a ten-year period.
The defendant, of Hawthorn Avenue, Pinehurst, is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court this afternoon (Tuesday).
The former school teacher and archery coach is charged with:
• Causing or inciting a boy to engage in sexual activity involving penetration
• Engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with boy – x7
• Engaging in sexual communication with a child, namely sexual text messages
• Assaulting a boy under the age of 13 by sexual touching
The alleged offending is said to have happened between 2012 and 2022.
Fox previously worked at various schools in Swindon, including Drove Road Primary School, Mountford Manor Primary School and Lawn Manor Academy.
