Two men have been arrested and charged after an incident involving weapons on Christmas Day.
Armed police responded to a serious disorder breaking out in Ventnor Close, Swindon, some time before midnight on 25 December.
It’s alleged a woman was threaten with a firearm, while a man was threatened with an axe.
Officers closed the road as the incident was dealt with, ongoing into the early hours of Boxing Day.
53-year-old Darren Moss has since been charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause Leanne Thatcher fear of violence.
52-year-old Shaun Webber faces a charge of threatening Darren Moss with a blade, namely an axe, in a public place and criminal damage to his fence.
The defendants, who both live in Ventnor Close but reside at different address, have been remanded in custody.
They are due to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).
