A Swindon man is to appear in court charged with child sexual abuse.
62-year-old Ian Ridgeway, of Stancombe Park, Westlea, faces two allegations.
At Swindon Magistrates Court today (Wednesday), the defendant will face the court for a first hearing.
He’s accused of causing or inciting a girl, aged between 5 and 7, in sexual activity – namely touching his penis – on no fewer than two occasions.
It’s also alleged he intentionally caused the same child to watch himself engaging in a sexual activity on no fewer than two occasions.
Alleged victims of sexual crimes have the right to lifelong anonymity. It is an imprisonable criminal offence to share any piece of information that could lead to their identification.
