Swindon Borough Council has this morning authorised its highways team to paint two thank you messages on two busy main roads in the town.

The messages, which read ‘THANK YOU KEY WORKERS’ and ‘THANK YOU NHS’, were painted on Queens Drive near the Magic Roundabout and Marlborough Road near the Great Western Hospital.

A council spokesperson said: “Our Highways Team have had a busy morning giving Marlborough Road and Queens Drive a lick of paint.

“We want to thank every NHS worker, Social care worker and other key worker for the great job they have done, and continue to do, for the town. Swindon owes you all a debt of gratitude.”
