A suspected intoxicated driver has been arrested following a crash in Bradford on Avon.
Emergency services were called to reports of a vehicle colliding with two cars in New Road at around 5.45am this morning (Friday).
Three vehicles were damaged – including a Ford S-Max and a Vauxhall Meriva, which were understood to be parked at the time of impact.
The driver of the third vehicle, a man aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while unfit to drive through drink or drugs.
An ambulance attended the incident, with paramedics assessing the suspect before he was taken to Gablecross custody in Swindon for questioning.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Our Drink/Drug drive campaign continues this month, as officers carry out early morning and late night vehicle checks, targeting individuals who appear over the limit or under the influence of illegal drugs.
“Our message is simple: if you have been out drinking or have taken illegal drugs, don’t risk driving. Plan another way to get home in advance.”
