“Don’t increase our workload by making unnecessary journeys” – ambulance

South Western Ambulance Service are warning motorists to stay off the road unless their journey is absolutely necessary – doing so increases their workload.

A spokesperson said: “PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL. Our staff and volunteers are working incredibly hard in difficult conditions. Please don’t increase our workload by making unnecessary journeys in treacherous conditions. Many routes impassable due to the snow and ice.”
