UPDATE: Three people – including young child – rushed to hospital after tree crushes car

A second crash involving a car and a tree has sparked an afternoon road closure in Wiltshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Farleigh Wick, Bradford-on-Avon, at around 12.30pm today (18 February).

A tree has reportedly fallen on a vehicle with multiple occupants, and Wiltshire Police say 999 responders are going to be in attendance for the duration of this afternoon.

“Officers are currently dealing with a incident involving a car and a fallen tree in Farleigh Wick, Bradford-on-Avon”, a spokesperson for the force said.

They continued: “We were called by a member of the public at 12.20pm today.

“Emergency services are currently on scene, and a road closure has been put in place at the junction with the A363 turning for Farleigh Wick and the main village.

“The closure is likely to remain in place for the duration of the afternoon while emergency services see to the occupants of the vehicle.”
