A flat-bed truck has ploughed into the side of a car on Great Western Way this morning.

It happened at around 9.30am on the roundabout that connects with Whitehouse Road.

One ambulance and four police vehicles were at the scene shortly after it happened.

A male casualty, understood to be the driver of the car, is being treated by paramedics.

There’s no access to Whitehouse Road from Great Western Way at this time, though the road is expected to be cleared by around 11.30am.

A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service said: “A male patient was treated at the scene with minor injuries.”
