A road outside a school has been closed after a schoolgirl was hit by a car.
Police have closed Bath Road in both directions as an ambulances and police vehicles respond to the scene.
The 13-year-old girl was struck by a car near Melksham Oak Community School and taken to hospital for treatment.
The road, between Flacon Way and Bowerhill Lane, was closed for an hour.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “At around 3.10pm today (25/03) we received a call about a 13-year-old girl being struck by a car on Bath Road, Melksham.
“She has been taken to Royal United Hospital in Bath with a suspected ankle injury.
“The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. No arrests have been made.”
