A man was ‘stabbed by a woman’ at a house in Trowbridge this morning (Sunday).
Police are guarding an address in Bellefield Crescent following the serious assault at 2.45am.
A man was rushed to hospital after being knifed in the back during what police describe as a “dispute”.
A woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. She remains in custody for questioning.
The injured man’s injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening, it’s understood.
A group of people were in the property at the time of the stabbing — all said to be intoxicated after returning from the town centre.
Forensic investigators arrived at the scene at around 10am and are expected to remain throughout the day.
As police watched over the house, a man aged in his 30s arrived at around 7am. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
