Police have smashed down the door of a Swindon home in a suspected raid.
Officers lined Grayling Avenue in South Marston, a new-build housing estate, before forcing entry into a house last Monday (2 December).
Several of the police vehicles on scene were from Thames Valley Police – however, the force confirmed they were providing assistance to the local police.
Wiltshire Police were approached for a statement on 3 December, but have not responded.
As such, it’s unclear why police targeted the property, if any arrests were made and if any proceedings are active.
One police vehicle was a dog unit, understand to have been utilised in searching the building – which appears to be a semi-detached three-storey house.
Officers remained on scene into the evening, having secured the front door with a sheet of plywood.
Local residents reported that a police officer was stood guarding the door for most of the afternoon, describing the situation as “scary”.
