Police have been called after a shopping trolley was spotted on the M4 near Swindon.
There have reportedly been a number of near misses with the large object, which has somehow found its way onto the eastbound carriageway this morning (Thursday).
The obstruction is believed to be in lane two between junctions 15 (Swindon) and 14 (Hungerford).
A warning was posted in the Wiltshire 999s: Incidents, Crime & Traffic group on Facebook at around 9.19am.
The motorist says she called police to report the trolley, but warns others to “be careful when driving, I just had a near miss”.
