A woman has admitted killing a Swindon teen while driving without a licence.
14-year-old Harry Parker was walking to school when he was struck down and killed by a Jeep Compass in Akers Way, Swindon, on 25 November 2022.
52-year-old Ivy Mwangi pleaded guilty to causing the boy’s death by driving the Jeep while unlicensed at Swindon Crown Court this morning (Friday).

The care company director was not arraigned for the charges of causing death by careless driving and causing death while uninsured.
The case was adjourned for the Crown Prosecution Service to carry out a review of the case and the result of that review will be heard in court on 27 June.
In case of not guilty pleas to the further two offences, a trial date was reserved in 24 February 2025 – and is expected to last four-to-five days.
Mwangi, of Doulton Close, Redhouse, was released on unconditional bail.
