Police negotiators have been tasked to help a man in distress in Melksham.
Emergency services were called to reports of an aggressive male at a property in the Bowerhill area at around 4pm this afternoon (Thursday).
Specially trained public order officers and negotiators have been called to deal with the incident.
It’s understood the fire service is on scene due to flooding inside the building and the ambulance service is reportedly on standby.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that we are currently at the scene of a mental health-related incident in Bowerhill, Melksham.
“There is no wider threat to the public. Please avoid the area.”
