Wiltshire Police has issued a statement following the stabbing of a teenage boy.
A 15-year-old schoolboy was knifed on a footpath between footpath between Ducks Meadow and Orchard Road shortly after 3pm this afternoon (Tuesday).
Police swarmed the area following the incident, and ambulance crews provided treatment to the pupil, said to be from St John’s, before taking him to hospital.
He is understood to have sustained a superficial slash wound to his leg.
Wiltshire 999s understands that no arrests have been made in connection with the attack, and the crime scene was left shortly before 5pm.
In a statement, the force said: “A boy has been taken to hospital after suffering a knife injury in Marlborough today.
“At around 3.10pm, we responded following a report that a 15-year-old suffered what is thought to be a minor injury in an incident by the garages at the end of Isbury Road near Ducks Meadow.
“A scene was established by officers and has since been lifted. Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
“Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting log 154 of today’s date.”
