A man’s indecently exposed himself to a young child in Durrington.

The incident happened between 4pm and 5pm on Thursday 22 March in Primrose Place, where two girls, under the age of nine, were playing outside an address.

When one of them went inside and the other attempted to cross the road. At this point, a man drove past and called the young girl over to his window. It was at this point when the girl noticed the man was exposing himself, before he drove off in the direction of the park.

He is described as white, with short dark hair and no facial hair. It is believed he was aged in his mid to late 20s and was driving a silver hatchback, possibly a Ford. It is also believed he was wearing a plain grey t-shirt and blue trousers.

DC Dawn Rowan said: “This was no doubt a frightening experience for the young girl. She did not speak to the man and did the right thing by reporting it to her family immediately.

“We have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries in the area and would encourage anyone who thinks they may have seen the vehicle on this day, or anyone who may know who the man is from the description given, to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
