Police have seized two uninsured bikes as part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal vehicles in the Warminster and Westbury areas of Wiltshire.
An e-bike linked to anti-social behaviour was seized on Boreham Road in Warminster on 28 May after officers located the rider.
The bike was seized for having no insurance. The rider was also reported for a number of road-related offences.
PC Kent said: “We have been aware of this particular bike for several weeks and the nature of the riding style which has been causing issues around Warminster. To remove this e-bike is a positive step.
“This is another good result, however officers remain aware of further illegal e-bikes being used in Warminster and will be actively targeting them in the near future.”
A further seizure was made on 2 June when officers stopped an uninsured pit bike on Dursley Road in Haywood, near Westbury.
The rider was reported at the scene for a number of road traffic offences, including riding without a helmet.
Wiltshire Police said both seizures form part of ongoing efforts to tackle issues involving uninsured bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters across west Wiltshire.
The force has also thanked members of the public for continuing to report concerns about illegal vehicles, saying the information helps officers identify and target those being used unlawfully.
PC Rideout, from the Warminster Neighbourhood Policing Team, added: “We are thankful to the members of the public who continue to report information about the use of illegal e-bikes in Warminster, as this helps us with any operations.”
Anyone with information about the illegal use of e-bikes or e-scooters in their community is urged to report it online, via 101, or by calling 999 in an emergency.
