Police have flooded a Chippenham estate after a wanted suspect was spotted.
At least a dozen officers searched for the man after he was seen in the Mount Pleasant area, near Bumpers Farm Roundabout, this morning (Tuesday).
A dog unit was deployed and armed response units were drafted in to assist the hunt.
It’s believed the man ran into Blackberry Close, in Cepen Park North, at around 10am.
Locals noticed a large police presence in Stainers Way, where a number of police vehicles were parked as the incident was dealt with.
Officers were seen to be checking the undergrowth as well as under a bridge on Hardenhuish Brook.
Despite an hour-long search in the area, the suspect was not located.
