A police drone was used to search for a suspect near Marlborough in the early hours of this morning, after a homeowner’s back door was opened by an unknown man.
The suspected burglar attempt happened at around 0.30am today, Saturday 23 December.
The house in Stitchcombe, two miles from the centre of Marlborough, was left unlocked. A male – wearing blue jeans, black jacket and a cap – entered the house via an unlocked door to the rear of the address.
On entering, he was greeted by an unhappy Staffordshire Bull Terrier, causing him to leave.
Wiltshire Police rushed to the property, and used the police drone, dogs and officers to search the area. Unfortunately, their search was unsuccessful and no suspect was found.
