Police are trying to find parents of three-year-old found in Trowbridge

Police are trying to locate the parents of a young girl found running around in Trowbridge.

According to reports on social media, police were called when the girl – thought to be three-years-old – was found in the Lark Down area of the town at around 5pm today.

Police are conducting door-to-door enquiries in a bid to locate the parents while the child is looked after by officers in a police car parked nearby.

One resident said police were seen knocking on doors in Green Lane, Barn Glebe and Heathershaw.

Another local Sophie Larcombe said “Police at my door twice. She’s not to do with anyone in my street been missing over hour.”
