The identity of a man who assaulted and verbally abused the same victim on two separate occasions in Swindon is sought by police officers.

On 12 October between 7.30pm and 8pm, a man in his 30s was travelling on the number 17 bus from the town centre to Park South when another man started to verbally abuse him. When they alighted the bus, the man followed the victim and assaulted him. The victim sustained swelling to his face.

Again, on 14 November, a similar incident occurred – the same victim was stood waiting for a bus in Fleming Way, when the same man again verbally abused him and attempted to knock off his hat, which left the victim feeling scared.

PC Paul Davis said: “We believe the same man assaulted and then verbally abused the victim on both occasions. On the first occasion, the man sustained swelling and bruising as a result of an assault. On both occasions, he was left feeling intimidated and frightened.

“We’d like to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incidents – if you have information please contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
