Police have closed the A303 near Stonehenge following a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the major route near Winterbourne Stoke at around 6.30pm this evening (Thursday).
Further details are unclear at this stage, but the carriageway has been closed in both directions.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that the A303 between Winterbourne Stoke and the Longbarrow roundabout is currently blocked following a serious collision.
“Closures are being put in place between the Longbarrow roundabout and the A303 junction with the A36 Deptford.
“Please find alternate routes.”
