Aerial photographs show a crashed vehicle in the middle of a Chippenham roundabout.
The grey Great Wall Steed smashed into a deep ditch on Chequers Roundabout, which connects the A350 with the A4, this morning (Thursday, 3 November).
The driver’s airbag was deployed in the rare brand of pick-up truck during the collision, which appears to have caused some front-end damage.
The vehicle was abandoned by the driver, leaving it in the ditch – where it appears to be stuck on large rocks at the bottom. Recovery is expected to take place in the coming days.

It’s not clear if another vehicle was involved in the incident, but a grey Mercedes was parked on the roundabout – thought to be providing help to the driver.
Nobody’s thought to have sustained any noteworthy injuries – and Wiltshire Police confirmed the incident has not been reported to them.
An item of road furniture, namely a directional sign, appeared to be damaged – however, it’s not clear if the damage was done during this collision or a previous one.
After all, the same thing happened on 18 October, when a car seemingly appeared to fail to negotiate the roundabout and ended up in the ditch.
