North Wiltshire road closed as police and ambulance attend two-vehicle crash

Police have closed a road near Minety following a road traffic collision.

South Western Ambulance Service is said to be in attendance of the incident on the B4696 between B4040 Malmesbury Road and the Cotswold Water Park.

It’s understood the two-vehicle crash happened at around 4pm, with all emergency services at the scene.

Wiltshire Police say the road is closed between Ashton Road and Swan Lane.

A spokesperson said: “We currently have the B4696 closed at the Ashton Road and Swan Lane junction due to a 2 vehicle RTC.

“The road will remain closed while the occupants of the vehicles are assessed by South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and we have the vehicles recovered.

“Please find an alternative route.”

No one’s believed to have been seriously hurt and the road is expected to be open by around 6pm.
