A man’s been stabbed at a bungalow in a quiet road near Salisbury this morning.
Neighbours said they heard screaming moments before police units and ambulances arrived at the scene in Porton village at around 10am this morning.
A home in Southbourne Way, off the A338, is cordoned off with police tape following the attack.
An air ambulance attended the scene to treat a man, in his 40s, at the scene. His current condition is unknown, but police say his injuries are ‘serious’.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Detectives are attending the scene, with forensics expected imminently.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “There will be a police presence in the area, but the incident is contained and there is no risk to the wider public.”
The news comes less than 24 hours after two women were murdered less than five miles away, where police are today continuing their investigation into the incident.
