A mother and her young daughter were allegedly sexually assaulted on a bus in Wiltshire.
Wiltshire Police has launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident at around 3pm on Wednesday (27 October).
The pair were travelling on the number 9 bus service between Swindon and Wroughton when it’s said a male passenger inappropriately touched the woman and her young daughter.
The suspect is described as white, around 60 to 65 years old, bald with grey stubble and very large in build.
He wore distinctive socks with sandals, used a cane (to walk with) and had an exemption lanyard around his neck.
PC Bianca Allen, from the Swindon Community Policing Team, said: “This was a very distressing incident for the woman and girl involved and we are carrying out detailed enquiries to establish the identity of this man.
“We don’t believe anyone else was on the bus at the time of the incident, but we would like to speak to any passengers who may have got on the bus shortly afterwards and may recognise the description provided.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Allen on 101, quoting crime reference 54210105090.
