Motorists parking illegally outside a fire station ‘could delay their response’.
Firefighters in Chippenham may find it difficult to manoeuvre appliances if vehicles stop on the double yellow lines on Dallas Road.
Parking is prohibited outside the fire station to prevent delays when crews are mobilising for emergencies in the community.
“We have large fire engines that require the entire width of the road to turn out due to the turning circle needed”, a Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said.
Adding: “This area needs to be kept clear at all times, even more so school pick up times when the are becomes even more congested.
“We politely ask locals to refrain from parking here in future.”
