A motorist has been reported to court for careless driving following a crash on the A420.
Police closed the main route through Chippenham at about 10.45am this morning (Sunday, 24 April), after they were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
Three ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the incident, but luckily, only one person was taken to hospital as a precaution – suffering what are believed to be minor injuries.
A blue Audi RS 6 and a red Vauxhall Grandland X were involved, with one of the drivers being reported for the offence of careless driving — a according to Wiltshire Police.
The road was closed by armed response officers between Willowbank and Bumpers Farm for less than two hours whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
By 12.30pm, the road has reopened in both directions and the vehicles were towed away.
