Police have seized a motorcycle after its rider was stopped driving the wrong way through a one-way system in Westbury.
Neighbourhood officers took action following reports that the motorcycle had been causing issues for residents and businesses in the town’s High Street.
According to Wiltshire Police, PCSO Revers received intelligence about the motorcycle before PC Hamel positioned a marked police vehicle in the area.
A short time later, officers saw the motorcycle travelling the wrong way through the one-way system towards oncoming traffic.
The rider was stopped and officers established that he was licensed to ride the motorcycle. However, he was not displaying the L-plates required for learner riders.
The motorcycle was seized and the rider has been reported for licence offences and careless driving.
Wiltshire Police said they will continue to respond to concerns raised by the community to help keep residents safe.
