A Melksham man has been remanded in custody over an alleged assault on his girlfriend.
Kyle Walton, 20, is accused of non-fatal strangulation, causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage following an incident in Goldfinch Road on 28 December.
He appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 30 December and the case was sent up to Swindon Crown Court due to the seriousness of the alleged violence.
The defendant was remanded in custody and will next appear for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 27 January.
