A masked gang on e-bikes have carried out a knifepoint robbery in a Swindon park.
The broad daylight incident took place at Foundation Park, located between Tesco Extra and the County Ground, at around 4.15pm on Sunday (8 October).
A group of friends were gathered on the green space when they were approached by four others on electric bikes and wearing balaclavas.
“The second group blocked off the exits to the park so that they couldn’t leave, before approaching one of the teenagers and demanded he give them his bike”, PC Leo Koca said.
Adding: “When he refused he was grabbed by the throat and threatened with a knife.
“Although no knife was actually seen, this was taken seriously enough that the bike was handed over.
“We believe the group headed off in the Ocotal Way or County Road direction.
