A man who touched a woman’s bum has been told to complete a misogyny course.
The suspect, aged in his 40s, rubbed his hand on a stranger’s bottom in a Corsham pub on 3 February.
He has since been interview by police, and admitted his crime. As a result, he was given a caution for assault – meaning he won’t be taken to court.
However, as part of the deal, he must complete a misogyny course, a victim awareness course and write a letter of apology to his victim.
PC Guerreiro said: “An adult caution means this will sit on his record and I hope this is a message to others that this kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable.
“His actions caused the young woman distress.
“The courses will hopefully give him time to reflect on what happened.”
