A man’s been charged with a number of offences following an incident in Swindon yesterday.
Four police units raced to the scene in Bruce Street, Rodbourne, at around 4.50pm on Wednesday afternoon, after receiving reports of a ongoing disorder in the area.
Patrick Cawley, 44, of Bruce Street, Rodbourne, Swindon, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, assault by beating and possession of cannabis.
He has been released on conditional bail and is due at Swindon Magistrates Court next month.
It is not clear whether anyone was seriously hurt during the disorder.
