A man caught carrying a samurai sword around Chippenham has been given ‘words of advice’.
Police raced to reports of a male holding a large blade in the Park Lane area at around 6pm on Monday evening (1 November).
Officers were seen searching the area, approaching a number of members of the public asking if they had sighted the individual.
One local resident told Wiltshire 999s they were approached by an officer in Union Road at 6.15pm “asking if I had seen a guy with a sword”.
