A man has been treated by paramedics after several vehicles caught fire in Chippenham.

Emergency services were called to reports of a blaze in Cocklebury Road, near Wiltshire College, at around 10.40am this morning (Monday).

Two fire engines, from Chippenham and Corsham, attended the incident – discovering three vehicles and a trailer alight.

On scene, two firefighters donned breathing apparatus and tackled the raging flames using two hose reel jets.

The fire was out by 11.48am, but firefighters remain on site to dampen down the area.

A man, aged in his 20s, was treated by crews for smoke inhalation before he was handed over to paramedics for further care.
