A man who lied about a woman stabbing him in Swindon has been sent to prison.
Wojciech Prus made numerous false statements to Wiltshire Police with the intent to pervert the course of justice, Swindon Crown Court heard.
He told officers that he was stabbed in the arm by Slywia Thiede, but this was untrue.
The 24-year-old, of Lipowa in Rudziniec, Poland, pleaded guilty to the offence – which took place back in April 2021.
Due to not being a British citizen, there were limited sentencing options for Judge Taylor.
He handed Prus a five-month prison sentence and imposed a charge of £128, which must be paid on his release.
