A man’s been fined after he repeatedly called 999 to report nonexistent illnesses.
The 66-year-old tied up call handlers, and at one point an emergency ambulance, by calling the South Western Ambulance service in various locations across Swindon, Bath and Frome in late 2017.
Brian York, from Radstock, admitted failing to comply with his already issued community protection notice at Bath Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 10 Janaury.
He was fined £200 and told to pay CPS costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
