A man has died following a serious medical incident in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to Carpenters Lane, off Chapel Street in Gorse Hill, at around 7pm yesterday evening (Thursday, 7 March).
A man, aged in his 60s, was found unresponsive – sparking a significant 999 response from local police and the ambulance service.
Critical care medics from Wiltshire Air Ambulance, two ambulance crews and paramedic officer battled the save the man’s life.
Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead approximately one hour later. He was subsequently conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.
Wiltshire Police cordoned off the area to prevent members of the public accessing it while the incident was ongoing.
The force confirmed there are not believed to be an suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
