A man has died after having a cardiac arrest while driving near Wroughton.
The casualty is understood to have pulled into a lay-by and collapsed in Hay Lane, close to Salthrop Farm, at around 12.30pm this afternoon (Friday).
Wiltshire Air Ambulance and local ambulance crews were called to the incident.
Despite their best efforts to revive the man, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was partially blocked in both directions while emergency services attended.
Contrary to other media reports, this was not a road traffic collision.
