A man’s died after collapsing at work on a Swindon industrial estate yesterday afternoon.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene in Upper Stratton, alongside an ambulance, a first response car and a paramedics officer, at around 3pm on Thursday 18 January.

The casualty, a man in his 50s, reportedly started to complain about feeling unwell while he was at work on Headlands Trading Estate. He was found collapsed shortly afterwards.

The air ambulance landed in a nearby car park

Despite medics’ best efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said they were called to the scene by the ambulance service.

“We were called by the ambulance service at approximately 4.15pm to a report of a sudden death of a man in his 50s at Headlands Trading Estate, Swindon.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”

The air ambulance landed in Upper Stratton Baptist Church car park on Green Road.
